Small diameter implants, typically defined as being less than 3.8mm in diameter, are a valuable solution for the restoration of missing incisors in the mandible and maxilla, where the close proximity of adjacent teeth and limited ridge width may make it difficult to achieve stable, esthetic restorations with traditionally sized implants.
