Around 61 Thommen Medical implants were placed in 20 patients.

At the 5-year follow-up, implant survival rate was 98.4% and the mean annual bone loss during the 5 years of loading was < 0.12 mm. According to the authors the Thommen implant system can be used successfully for various prosthetic indications.
