The implant shoulder was lowered to the level of the intact buccal bone lamella, approximately 3 mm to the planned soft tissue margin, a thickness tunnel was initiated centrally and enlarged mesially and distally. After the partially detached connective tissue was separated from the local connective tissue, tight suturing of the donor site was performed to prevent persistent bleeding.
